Prized Possessions: The Don of luxury travels

With Teko Modise seemingly still one the most marketable individuals in South African football, here's a look at the former playmaker's prized possessions from one of his newest endorsement deals.
The story
In September 2023, luggage bags company Samsonite confirmed that Modise was their newest brand partner. Avid followers of the South African football legend will know that the former midfielder has also been drawn to stunning luggage bags, as he has previously been seen with luxury bags by Gucci and Hermes.
Samsonite appears to be the ideal partner in this regard, as the company described their collaboration with Modise as "almost telepathic" due to their two worlds colliding so seamlessly.

With Samsonite boasting a history of sponsoring athletes, the brand believed that their collaboration with Teko Modise "isn't just another deal – it's a statement. A statement that signifies mutual respect and a shared vision."
These eye-catching bags have drawn a fair amount of interest from The General's fanbase due to how snazzy and picture-esque Modise tends to be. Although the primary purpose of them is purely travel, the Mamelodi Sundowns ambassador brings a certain vibe, style, and allure to the bags, with some of the ones he has been seen with looking perfectly tailored for The Navigator.
One of Modise's most appealing suitcases is the green Lite Box four-wheel spinner, which ranges between R11999-R12999 depending on size and other specifics, according to Samsonite's online store. It is said to be a combination of the best materials with a contemporary design.
An official description of this particular item reads: "Lite-Box is among the lightest and sturdiest in its class. State-of-the-art technology combined with a great deal of attention to detail gives this collection its key look: a large volume boxy case in a dynamic vertical design with prominent outside corner protections. The interior is a winner too and is fully lined with soft touch premium fabric. The 2 divider pads and height adjustable cross ribbons ensure a perfect organisation that can be accommodated to the differing volumes of your luggage (except on spinner 55)."
The Lite-Box travel suitcases comes in uniquely stunning colourways including deep blue, black/copper, deep red, camo green, and eclipse grey. He also has an option to personalise the bags to his liking.

Other ranges Teko is said to have include the Pro-DLX 6 15.6" laptop backpack, the Medium Ecodiver backpack, as well as the Proxis Range in Honey Gold. Another one of his prized pessessions is the the Ecodiver Duffle, which is useful for gym sessions and it is eco-friendly at the same time. Most of these items offer the former baller style, practicality, and premium quality.

The former Cape Town City star also as paid partnerships with sportwear label PUMA and betting giant Hollywoodbets.
