Mamelodi Sundowns will have another continental milestone to reach this season as they start the latest chapter of their CAF Champions League travails.
After getting a bye in the first round, Sundowns have what appears a relatively lightweight task of getting past Eswatini champions Mbabane Swallows to get into the group stages for the 10th consecutive season.

Reaching the group stages is now standard procedure for The Brazilians with what matters being what they do onward from the quarterfinals.
Reaching the last eight this season will carry the significance of taking Sundowns to 200 matches on the continent.
They are currently on 190 games in continental club football to date, including the African Football League, which they won in its inaugural edition last year.
Since South Africa's readmission to international football in 1992, Sundowns have played in all the CAF competitions – the Champions League (formerly African Cup of Champions Clubs), CAF Confederation Cup, African Cup Winners' Cup, CAF Super Cup, CAF Cup and AFL.
The CAF Cup was an annual competition for domestic league runners-up who will not have qualified for either of the then African Cup of Champions Clubs or African Cup Winners' Cup.
It was then discontinued when it was merged with the Cup Winners' Cup upon the formation of the Confederation Cup in 2004.
The Tshwane giants made their debut appearance on the continent in 1994, playing in the African Cup of Champions Clubs after having won the domestic league the previous year.

They faced off with Arsenal of Lesotho in the first round, winning 1-0 away in Maseru on February 20, 1994, before finishing off the job with a 4-1 victory at home a fortnight later.
Their Champions League count is at 155, 16 in the Confederation Cup, eight in the CAF Cup, six in the AFL, four in the Cup Winners Cup and one in the Super Cup.
Besides the AFL last year, Sundowns have only played Champions League football since they won the Super Cup in 2017.
