Rulani Mokwena's meteoric rise in his role as Mamelodi Sundowns head coach has been explained with insider details being revealed as he continues to push barriers.
Mokwena remains unbeaten since taking over after the MTN8 semi-finals second leg defeat to Orlando Pirates on October 22 last year.

The 36-year-old has won 18 and drawn five and such was the start of his reign as the man in charge that he won 14 in a row before the 2-2 draw in Cairo.
Worth noting is the fact that he is a coach coming from a background of having never played professional football and this started coaching in his teenage years.
He is only 36 and younger than some players that he coaches.

"Rulani is the pure example of how hard work always brings positive results in football," points out fellow coach Vladislav Heric.
"He has fanatically dedicated himself to football and there is no way that he is not going to get results.
"I hope that one day he goes on to sit on the Bafana Bafana bench and I say this not because I'm against Hugo Broos at the moment and not by any chance calling for any changes.
"What I'm stressing is that in the future I believe he will get a chance.

"The way he works is phenomenal because he is glued up to the game 24/7.
"What helps him is that he doesn't switch off his focus from the game like so many other coaches who are married and have kids to look after and a lot of errands to run in between.
"Rulani is only into football even during his off time from Sundowns he is still in football coaching his team in Soweto.
"He is different like that because he is married to football.
"So, I'm sure that he is going to be the best coach ever in this country.
"I have no issues against anyone but the way he has dedicated himself to football is phenomenal.
"It is not accidentally that he is making the kind of progress that he is making at Sundowns.
"The stats on the board don't lie and he is the best.
"I disagree with this perception that Patrice Motsepe killed football in the country but then that is a story for another day.

"With Rulani, he has appreciated the support that he has in Steve (Komphela) and Manqoba (Mngqithi).
"Could you ask for better than Steve and Mnaqoba to support?
"He has also been smart enough to keep strengthening his technical team because he understands that he must always be ahead of everyone else.
"You can tell that he has given the power to be in charge and is using his authority to make decisions which is why he is making additions.

"He is the one calling the shots which is what the head coach needs instead of hearing from the chairman.
"The head coach must have confidence and trust in his technical team which is what is happening with Rulani.
"As a fellow coach, I can only admire and learn from what Rulani is doing at Sundowns," says Heric who has coached in domestic football for close two decades.
