In this edition of My Locker Room Secrets, former Mamelodi Sundowns player Brent Carelse reveals behind-the-scenes details of the Masandawana changing room.
Whose locker room are we in today?
"Brent Carelse."
Who was always late?
"It was Peter Ndlovu and Josta Dladla. Those two were always late. I think Josta his problem was…he overslept."

Any interesting ritual before they played?
"What I would normally do was to say a small prayer. And I would always put my left boot before the right boot. Always. It's just a superstition I had since I was young."
Who was the Jokester?
"Surprise Moriri and Brian Baloyi always had pranks. They would hide people's stuff in the changing room, but it was fun."

Was it a muti change room?
"No. We'd have a prayer before going out of the changing room. We had a pastor who was always in camp praying for us."
Who was the singer?
"Oscar Ntwagae, Benson Mhlongo and Brian Baloyi loved singing."
Who was the best dressed and worst dressed?
"(Laughs) Most of the time we were in our tracksuits, especially when we are together.
"I remember one time during an award ceremony we were given silky suites [laughs]. I wonder who came up with that idea. Those suites were not a good idea.
"Patrick Apataki was the worst dressed. He introduced skinny jeans at Sundowns. He always struggled to take them off though."
Rate the coach's team talk…
"After Trott Moloto and Harris Choeu took over from Gordon Igesund he was funny Yhoo! The way they explained the piano and shoeshine, imitating the sound of a piano they were funny."
