Club legend Manqoba Ngwenya has revealed what he believes it will take for Mamelodi Sundowns to finally secure the MTN8, Nedbank Cup and CAF Champions League trophies.
The Brazilians only narrowly missed out on the MTN8 and Nedbank Cup last season under head coach Rulani Mokwena – finishing runner-up in both finals in the respective cup competitions.

In the Champions League, Sundowns went only as far sat the semi-final, unable to go past the same hurdle they stumbled on in the 22/23 season.
With a new head coach in Manqoba Mngqithi and an all-new technical team that comprises of Romain Folz and Steve Komphela alongside him, Mngqithi will be aiming to finally break the streak of bad fortune.
Speaking on Sundowns' Pitchside Podcast, Ngwenya advised that Mngqithi would have to do away with Mokwena's passing-style football and go for a more direct approach to secure the continental title.
"It's been small margins with these trophies if you look at it.
"But I think just the luck side of it as well, I think we need a just a little bit of luck to get through the final hurdle with the cup games.
"Then in the CAF Champions League, I think there needs to be a different approach like Manqoba said, that approach where we are actually trying to get ahead of them and score goals and rather than just passing all the time.
"I think no one respects you if you are in the Champions League, it's not like in the PSL. So I think in order for us to get past that hurdle, we need to find a different way."
