The Burkina Faso international striker is currently training with Wits with the hope of securing a contract in the PSL this season.
However, the 30-year-old spent a few weeks in camp with the Chilli Boys while they were in Cape Town for pre-season training a few weeks ago, when he apparently penned a deal.
Chippa boss Chippa Mpengesi tells snl24.com/kickoff that Bance is their player (see picture below).“He is our player. He signed a three-year contract with us,” Mpengesi claims. “There were a few things that needed to be sorted out before he went home to Burkina Faso.
“We are surprised to learn that he is training with Wits. If it’s true that he is training with them then we are ready to seek the legal route,” he adds.
Wits CEO Jose Ferreira has laughed off Mpengesi's claim.
“Yes, it’s true Bance is training with us. If Chippa says he signed with them, then it’s fantastic. It’s not our problem but Chippa’s problem,” says Ferreira.
Efforts to get hold of Bance's agent Dennis Idrissa, who works out of Niger, proved futile as his phone was on voicemail since this morning.
