The 2019/20 season is expected to resume soon and some local stars have stepped up their training at home in preparation for an imminent return to group training.

PSL football has been suspended for well over three months since the Covid-19 pandemic brought the country to a complete stand still back in March.

The subsequent nationwide lockdown forced players to retreat to their respective homes and try to maintain whatever fitness possible in their private spaces, while also having some online sessions where possible.

However, the League is set for a board of governors meeting on Tuesday to deliberate over their proposed return to play, which was approved by government last week.

This will then decide when clubs ought to be ready to resume phased group training as well as when they are likely to move into a biologically safe environment in order to complete the outstanding Absa Premiership and Nedbank Cup matches.

In the meantime, the likes of Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Lebogang Maboe, Brighton Mhlongo and several other players have been pushing themselves to be ready when the green light officially comes.
