Siphiwe Tshabalala: Kaizer Chiefs legend is not retiring, interest from China confirmed

The 35-year-old has been clubless since leaving Turkish outfit BB Erzurumspor in July last year after they suffered relegation from the Turkish Super Lig.

In what was the Kaizer Chiefs legend's first foray into European football, he and his agent Jazzman Mahlakgane reiterated that it was the priority for him to remain abroad.

Chiefs have since been linked with a move to bring him back to Naturena, which Mahlakgane quashed and has now hinted that his next move will still be away from the Absa Premiership.

"Prior to the lockdown we were making some contacts, which I think I can't divulge now but there was an open secret that he was going to China before the coronavirus hit them hard," Mahlakgane confirms to snl24.com/kickoff.

"That was where he was going to go but since then... when we have something we will provide an update about his future.

"When the lockdown ends and the future of the country is known and everyone else [is deemed] safe, we will look [to his next move]."
