Fortune Makaringe shows his kasi flavour

There's a colloquial expression that says; 'you can take someone out of the kasi, but you can never take the kasi out of the person' and Orlando Pirates star Fortune Makaringe might have just proven that with his latest drip!

The story

The East Rand native dropped a few kasi-inspired images on Instagram this week, however, for many football lovers in townships, the kind of look he had seems far too familiar!

Mr relatable

The midfielder has grown to become one of the fan favourites at Soweto giants as his off-field life is very relatable to many of his admirers.

Many have witnessed that he is very versatile, style-wise, and his latest post is the kind of proof anyone needs. Having been spotted by A Moroka Swallows kit-man playing in local non-league Easter tournaments, this shows that the former Maritzburg United is very much in touch with his township roots.

The fashionista can be found in streetwear, traditional attires, suits, and in pretty much anything as his sense of style is not confirmed to any particular theme.

Did you know?

According to the Bucs' official website, Makaringe, who is nicknamed "Maestro" grew up idolising former Pirates greats Steve Lekoelea and Teko Modise, although the latter would later go on to become a Mamelodi Sundowns legend more than an icon at any other club.

Your thoughts, please?

Who has been the Bucanneers' top-performing midfielder this season?
