Rumours indicated that the reason for this was because of his desire to return home to Morocco, and his wish has been granted as he has officially been announced as the Red Castle's newest recruit on what is understood to be a two-year deal.

According to Transfermarkt, the manager Boutouil has played the most under in his career is Mokwena, and the pair are now reunited at the three-time CAF Champions League winners and will be hoping to achieve success in Morocco the same way they did in South Africa.
