The Tunisian government is reportedly not leaving anything to chance in preparation for the highly-anticipated second leg of the CAF Champions League quarterfinals match between Esperance de Tunis and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Esperance is set to host Masandawana at the Hammadi Agrebi Olympic Stadium on Tuesday, April 8 in a crucial encounter. Downs collected a significant 1-0 victory at the Loftus Versfeld on Tuesday last week.
Nevertheless, the match was overshadowed by the violent clashes that broke out between the supporters of the two teams. Conflict began shortly after the final whistle, with Esperance fans seemingly igniting the altercation in the stands.

The altercation resulted in some Esperance fans being injured, as reported by the Tunisian side. The club has even chosen to file a complaint to CAF against the Sundowns fans, while the Brazilians have expressed their apologies for the events that transpired on their home ground.
To avoid a repeat of the incidents in Tshwane, Eremnews.com reports that the Tunisian government, through the Ministry of Interior, has planned to implement special security measures for this showdown.

The government is said to have underlined that the match organizing committee, which consists of the management of Esperance and the police, will conduct a meeting to discuss implementing strong security to manage the match and ensure it goes ahead without issues.
All these precautions are repeatedly being taken due to the crowd disturbances that occurred last week. The match between the Blood and Gold and the Betway Premiership giants is scheduled to kick off at 21h00.
