With Jadon Sancho's transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United now confirmed by both clubs, the England star has reportedly wasted no time in choosing a taken jersey number.
A new signing demanding a specific shirt number or one that is already taken by another player at his new club is not something new, with some high-profile stars having done just that over the years.
Sancho is now seemingly one of them, with the 21-year-old England star having reportedly made it known what jersey he wants to wear upon his arrival at United, despite the number already being worn by another player.

According to The Guardian, Sancho has asked for the No. 7 shirt at United, which is currently worn by Uruguay star Edinson Cavani, although no decision has been made regarding a potential number change for the striker.
The Red Devils' No. 7 jersey is synonymous with the club's best wingers and forwards over the years, having previously been worn by the likes of David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo.
In recent years, though, a number of those players who have worn the shirt have endured a considerably underwhelming time at Old Trafford, among them Alexis Sanchez and Memphis Depay.
