Man Utd to snap up ex-City star?

Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a stunning move for Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane, but face stiff competition from other Premier League rivals.

The 28-year-old German international is out of contract at the end of the season, sparking a frenzy of interest from Europe's top clubs.

According to journalist Christian Falk, per TEAMtalk, the Red Devils have already made "enquiries" about Sane's availability, while Arsenal have him firmly on their radar.

The former Manchester City star is widely regarded as one of Europe's premier wingers, with eight major trophies already under his belt.

With United's £86 million (around R1.9 billion) flop Antony said to be facing an uncertain future, Sane would be considered a significant upgrade on the Brazilian.

New manager Ruben Amorim, meanwhile, is believed to be unimpressed with Antony's performances, paving the way for the German's potential arrival.

However, United aren't the only suitors. Liverpool are also suggested to be monitoring Sane's situation, with Mohamed Salah's potential Anfield exit looming large.

The Gunners are also in the mix, as Mikel Arteta is understood to be keen on bolstering his attacking options.

The transfer tug-of-war seems set to intensify in January, when Sane becomes eligible to open pre-contract talks with non-German clubs.
