It has been claimed that Kylian Mbappe's drawn-out transfer saga has taken yet another twist, leaving Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid both on edge.
The France forward's future has been a hot topic throughout the 2021/22 season, but the battle for his services is expected to come to an end soon as his contract is set to expire in June.
Recent reports from The Sun suggested an end to the lengthy transfer saga was perhaps close after PSG's official online store removed Mbappe's name from the list of options in the "personalise" section when buying a customised shirt, seemingly hinting that he could be set for an exit after all.
This came after news earlier this week that the player had agreed personal terms with Real, although nothing was said to have been signed.
However, according to RMC Sport, Los Blancos' optimism about the transfer being completed is decreasing.
With the France star believed to be ready to announce his final decision in the coming days, the LaLiga giants are no longer as confident as they once were that the forward is joining them.

It has been claimed the 23-year-old's representatives have informed the Spanish club he is still in the process of making a decision, but it is now believed he could be changing his mind, with Sky Italy's Gianluca Di Marzio reporting that he is close to signing an extension with Les Parisiens.
According to The Athletic, the Feench giants have offered him a new three-year deal, one that "has a significant focus on him being the centrepiece of the club's brand going forward as a Parisian-born player".
Mbappe has been in fantastic form once again this season, having scored 36 goals and assisted a further 26 strikes in 45 games for PSG.
