Paris Saint-Germain have officially confirmed the signing of Lionel Messi.
The Ligue 1 giants have signed the Argentine on a two-year-deal, with an option to extend to June 2024, and the player set to receive a salary worth a reported €35 million (R608 million) per season.

The six-time Ballon d'Or winner is Les Parisiens' fourth free-agent signing of the transfer window, after they secured the signatures of Georginio Wijnaldum, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Sergio Ramos on free deals.
Messi is set to wear the No. 30 shirt for PSG in the 2021/22 campaign.

"I am excited to begin a new chapter of my career at Paris Saint-Germain," he told the club's official website.
"Everything about the club matches my football ambitions. I know how talented the squad and the coaching staff are here.
"I am determined to help build something special for the club and the fans, and I am looking forward to stepping out onto the pitch at the Parc des Princes."
The 34-year-old made 778 appearances across all competitions for FC Barcelona, scoring 672 goals and providing a further 305 assists, and becoming the Blaugrana's all-time leading goalscorer.
