The 38-year-old striker returned to Italy for his second-stint at the Rossoneri after signing a six-month deal in January but could cut ties with the club imminently.
Having already started his life beyond professional football with the purchase of a stake of a Swedish club in November, Ibrahimovic is now said to be mulling his options due to the current situation at Milan.
Cited as an influential figure to restore the club's faltering reputation upon his arrival, the Sweden all-time record scorer has is believed to have expressed his unhappiness of the sacking of football officer Zvonimir Boban.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Boban had been instrumental in bringing the striker back to the San Siro and he's now also concerned over the future of club legend Paulo Maldini.
The report adds that Ibrahimovic is of the belief that South African-born Ivan Gazidis, the Chief Executive Officer at Milan, could sack technical staff member Maldini.
After being removed from his position, Boban hit out at Gazidis after he accused him of contacting former RB Leipzig boss Ralf Rangnick about taking over as Milan manager next campaign.
"Not even warning us was disrespectful and inelegant. It was not the Milan style," Boban said. "At least not what we remembered the Milan style as being.
"The way I see it, unity means sharing, unity means respect. At the end of the day, we need that approach, it is the only way to work and feel good.
"We've already talked to Gazidis. For the good of Milan, it is certainly necessary that a meeting with the ownership happens as soon as possible."
Milan have the option to extend Ibrahimovic's deal by 12-months but there have been claims that the player could retire from football and become a manager or agent alongside Mino Raiola.
