Al Ahly have now made a change to their technical team following their defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in the African Football League.
The Egyptian side is regarded as the most successful club on the continent, but with that success comes a congested fixture schedule that can lead to a fatigued squad if not managed correctly.

Along with the league campaign, the African giants are still scheduled to take part in the CAF Champions League as well as their domestic cup competitions.
This all comes after a gruelling AFL campaign from which they bowed out at the semi-final stage this week.
They were knocked out by Sundowns after losing the first leg 1-0 and drawing the second-leg 0-0, with a heroic penalty save by Masandawana keeper Ronwen Williams shattering Egyptian hopes in the return fixture.
The side's coach, Marcel Koller, insisted after that game that his team were better than Downs on the day, and that fortune was not on their side.
Now, however, their latest appointment may suggest that there was more to their defeat to the South African champions than just a "lack of luck".
According to Egyptian publication Al-Youm Al-Sabea, fitness and rehabilitation specialist Mohamed Al Shehhi is the latest addition to Ahly's technical staff.
His appointment is believed to have come after the club's board of directors felt that the players' level of conditioning was the reason they were booted out of the AFL by Sundowns.
Al Shehhi, who reportedly resigned from Ahly's basketball team to join their footballing set-up, is also said to have been in attendance at the team's first training session after their semi-final defeat.

Koller, along with his freshened up coaching staff, will be hoping for a positive response from his players when they take on Al Mokawloon in an Egyptian Premier League encounter on Saturday.
