Mamelodi Sundowns manager Rulani Mokwena has expressed his desperation to maintain his side's continental dominance after their African Football League triumph, while striker Peter Shalulile has also had his say after opening the scoring on Sunday.
Following Masandawana's latest victory, the South African tactician was once again full of gratitude to everyone involved in the club's success, but added that this is only the start.

"First of all, I want to thank the entire team, the players, technical bench and the club leadership for their support to have won this trophy," per the AFL's official website.
"The players know that this is just the beginning and that we must win more trophies in future."
Masandawana marauded their way through some of the toughest competitors the continent had to offer in order to lift the first-ever AFL trophy and walk away with the $4 million (R75 million) in prize money, overcoming the challenges presented by Angolan side Petro de Luanda, Egypt's Al Ahly and finally Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca.
Peter Shalulile scored the first goal in Sundown's 2-0 win in the second leg of the final, helping his team to a 3-2 aggregate victory.
It was also his first appearance in the tournament after missing the team's previous fixtures due to an injury, and the striker has since described his experience of the competition as "wonderful".
"I'd like to thank God first. It's a wonderful experience, good teammates, good team, and a good day. Thank you guys for this amazing cup," he said, as per The Namibian.
Now, the Brazilians will turn their attention to the CAF Champions League, a competition they last won in 2016.
Last season, they reached the semi-final stage before being booted from the competition by Wydad.

Mokwena has admitted, however, admit that it will be tough to catch up on the fixtures the club missed due to the AFL.
"We have had a busy two months and some players have to be released to go and join their national teams for the upcoming FIFA matches, while others will need to rest.
"It means we will not have enough time to train before resuming upcoming competitive matches."
