'Schoolboy errors are costing them' - Former Chiefs defender points blame at defenders

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Dominic Isaacs has blamed "schoolboy errors" for the disappointing defeat to Golden Arrows on Sunday.

Chiefs suffered a 3-2 defeat to Arrows after failing to hold onto their lead at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

"The day they commit fewer errors at the back is the day they will gain confidence as a team," Isaacs tells KickOff.

"They need to commit fewer errors at the back.

"These schoolboy errors are costing them; if the defence is solid and tight and doesn't concede goals, it will boost the attackers.

"I'm sure Arthur's been working on the defence. We know football is a game of errors and the team that concedes fewer errors is more likely to win.

"The individual errors have been Kaizer Chiefs Achilles for the last few years."

The majority of supporters were dismayed when Zwane substituted Christian Saile Basomboli and Mduduzi Shabalala.

"I'm sure Arthur had a plan; they were leading 2-1. If you are leading 2-1 the players on the field should pull together and say we going to defend that lead.

"When you lead 2-1 you can't blame the coach. Why are we always blaming the coach?

"The coach is not playing the 90 minutes. His job is done after the last training session, and the rest is up to the players.

"When opposition players are having shots free inside the penalty area how can you blame the coach?

"The Chiefs players they've should have done much better."
