Chippa ready to sell Chiefs-linked star?

After the departure of defender Zuko Mdunyelwa to Mamelodi Sundowns, Thabiso Lebitso and Stanley Nwabili could be next to depart Gqeberha and leave Chippa United in January.

Chippa has become the first team to officially sell a player during the transfer window period after selling Mdunyelwa to Mamelodi Sundowns for an undisclosed fee.

The Chilli Boys are not shy to sell players every season with Lebitso and Nwabili now seemingly appearing on the transfer market.

Nwabili, who has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs, is currently with the Nigerian National Team in preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast and faces the possibility of not returning to Gqeberha after the Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

Lebitso's contract with Chippa United is set to expire next year but the club could be tempted to sell him in January, according to sources close to the Eastern Cape-based outfit.

"It's business as usual at Chippa as the club looks for other options to boost their coffers," said the source

"The team is trying to sign a few players so that could see them sell both Lebitso and Nwabili during this current transfer window period."

Chippa is reported ready to welcome both Gift Motupa and Divine Lunga on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.

Cameroonian striker Bienvenu Eva Nga has also been linked with a return to the Chilli Boys.
