Umkhonto KaShaka, as Swallows are affectionately called, have since completed the signing of the Congolese duo of Grace 'Skomota' Mosengo and Bobo Angwenga, according to club official Welile Mabuza.
"Our preparations have been going well. The team left for South Africa today to continue with their preparations in Pretoria. We have new players who missed the previous match due to work permit [issues]. Their documents have been sorted out and they are part of the squad to face Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday," Mabuza tells KickOff.
"We respect Sundowns. They are a big team in Africa. We have been following their success in the Champions League. This is a good test for us. Our boys are motivated. They know this might be a good opportunity to market themselves in the PSL. Our supporters are also traveling in numbers to watch the match on Saturday. We hope for a major upset and [to] make history on Saturday," he adds.
The Brazilians are still nursing their wounds after being booted out of the MTN 8 to by Stellenbosch FC about a fortnight ago.
