The 22-year-old has only made three appearances since joining The Brazilians prior to the start of the 2024/25 season.
He was reported to have been signed for an amount of R60 million from Belgian Second Division club SK Lommel, with big expectations on his shoulders considering the struggles of Peter Shalulile in front of goal.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference on Thursday, head coach Manqoba Mngqithi says the Brazilians is close to making a comeback to the squad.
"He is also very close. He is back in full training, he is training with the team. He should be back... if not this weekend, probably next weekend [he] might be back. It will depend on the competition within the group because he is coming from injury and other players are in top form at the moment."
Mngqithi also confirmed that Bolivian midfielder Erwin Saavedra could also travel with the squad for Saturday's match.
"Saavedra is training fully. He was already eligible to be part of the squad for this match (against Royal AM). He was very close to being part of this squad for this match, but he is also back at training and he is looking good at training."
