Kaizer Chiefs striker Ashley Du Preez has admitted that they have been sucked into mentality challenges at the club this season.
Chiefs have been tame in the Betway Premiership this season, giving away points at a frightening pace so much that they have surrendered all three points in 10 games.

They also shared the points in another seven matches from the 25 which they have played to date, painting an unsatisfactory picture from all angles.
Besides Mamelodi Sundowns (twice), Golden Arrows (twice), Richards Bay FC, Cape Town City, Polokwane City, and SuperSport United (twice) have been amongst those that have all won against Amakhosi in the league this season.
"I think each team comes out 200% against us when they play Chiefs," says Du Preez when asked about the inconsistency issues.
"So, for us, it is to get in the same position and be even hungrier than the other teams.
"So, for me, it is definitely about the mentality when we go into league games playing against so-called small teams like Golden Arrows, Marumo Gallants, and all that.
"So, for us, when we go and play against Sundowns or (Orlando) Pirates, we are, like, motivated, and we want to win that specific game.
"But when we face the so-called smaller teams, then it is like we don’t match the resilience and hunger for the game," he notes.
Du Preez adds that they are playing to win all their remaining games despite their Nedbank Cup final place giving them a chance to play in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
"I think for us, it is to win the remaining games in the league instead of thinking of Africa and what Stellenbosch will do.

"It is about us.
"We need to win all the remaining league games to end in a better position and as a club here at Kaizer Chiefs we want to end in Africa, so we need to focus on winning every game.
"We are focusing on being consistent in these last few league games," he says.
