WARNING: 'AmaZulu must prepare themselves for a hiding'

Sundowns host AmaZulu FC at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on Tuesday.

"We need to go out sober-minded against AmaZulu, not thinking ahead about the (Orlando) Pirates game. That will distract our minds," says Papi Mbele, former winger of The Brazilians.

"But Sundowns is a quality team, so it's not going to be a simple game for AmaZulu, and I believe they know that too.

"Every player they put in at Sundowns delivers, they understand the team's structure. AmaZulu shouldn't be fooled by Sundowns' draw against (Golden) Arrows.

"If we win four to five games out of our remaining nine, the league is done. We just need to take it game by game," he went on.

However, Mbele believes Sundowns players' minds are tired leading up to the final stretch of the season.

"Remember, Sundowns uses mostly the brain when they are playing.

"What I like about our coach is that he plans according to the club we're facing. He can change to 3-4-3 systems in 90 minutes.

"So, with all that, AmaZulu must prepare themselves for a hiding. Winning against AmaZulu today will enable Sundowns to be fired up for the Orlando Pirates game."

Kick-off is at 19:30.
