Magesi FC head coach Owen Da Gama has explained in detail why assistant coach Papi Zothwane and winger Kgaogelo Sekgota left the club shortly after the former Orlando Pirates mentor joined.
Most notably, Zothwane and Sekgota were brought to the club by former head coach Clinton Larsen.

Zothwane is now part of the technical team at Richards Bay FC, while talented but sometimes wayward Sekgota is still searching for a new team.
"Papi received an offer to become the head coach at Richards Bay, and I wish him all the best. You can't stand in someone's way when a better opportunity arises," Da Gama told KickOff.com.
"There were no issues between him, me, or the club while he was here."
Regarding former Kaizer Chiefs star Sekgota, Da Gama stated, "The management and the technical team collectively felt that he might benefit from a change. It's based on performance on the pitch and not related to any disciplinary issues. He did nothing wrong.
"However, with the arrival of Mcedi Vandala and other players, Sekgota fell down the pecking order.
"For his career, we thought a change would give him the chance to play. I mean, you can't keep seven wingers on the roster."

When asked about potential new signings, the veteran coach revealed, "At the moment, we are not assessing any players, but there are one or two we hope to bring in.
"Details will be shared when there is a possibility."
