Liverpool have qualified for back-to-back Carabao Cup finals with a 4-0 thrashing of Tottenham Hotspur in the second leg of their semi-final on Thursday night.
Reds manager Arne Slot handed recalls to Goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, Curtis Jones, Darwin Nunez and Conor Bradley after the weekend's win over Bournemouth.
Spurs had the advantage after winning the first leg 1-0, so it was not surprise that the Reds dominated the proceedings from the onset but they struggled to carve out any big chances.
The home side thought they had taken the lead in the 29th minute when Dominik Szoboszlai sent a first-time strike into the back of the net, but celebrations were cut short due to the offside flag going up.
Three minutes later, the Reds opened the scoring on the night courtesy of a first-time volley from Cody Gakpo, who increased his tally to five goals in the League Cup.
Slot's charges then took control of the tie five minutes after the halftime break when Salah converted a penalty after Nunez had been brought down by Antonin Kinsky in the box, making it 2-1 on aggregate.
The visitors re-shuffled their pack for the final 30 minutes, with Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr making way for Pedro Porro and Lucas Bergvall, who scored the winning goal in the first leg.
The Reds, however, went on to make the game safe with 15 minutes left on the clock as Szoboszlai latched onto a through-ball from Bradley before firing past the advancing Kinsky to seal their spot in the final.
There was enough time for the hosts to add a fourth goal in the final ten minutes as Virgil van Dijk got his name on the score-sheet with a lovely header to round off the win, as they now look ahead to the final against Newcastle United.
