Lesotho coach: Where we lost it against Bafana

Lesotho coach Leslie Notsi bemoaned the lapses during crucial times during their 2-0 defeat to Bafana Bafana on Friday.

The neighbouring nation were buoyed before the match having started the campaign in decent fashion with favourable outcomes against heavyweights like Nigeria.

In addition, Likoena occupied fourth-place in the group standings before the match and had a win under their belt too.

Amidst a solid opening first half, the quality of the South African outfit proved too much and dented Likoena's hopes of an upset in front of a packed Polokwane crowd.

"Yes, lapse of concentration at a critical time and I think that's where we lost it. There a lot of good attributes that came out of this match that we'll take on going forward with the remaining matches," Notsi told SABC Sport post-match.

The defeat hasn't shattered their confidence, but instead strengthened the believe and quest for progress in the team overall.

"So yes, we are disappointed with the loss but truly speaking with the way the boys conducted themselves. We believe there's a lot of progress in our team," explained Notsi.

Likoena are on the road again on Tuesday and take on Rwanda who just suffered a 2-0 loss to the resurgent Nigeria in Friday's other qualifying action in the group.
