Eygpt have not won Africa's biggest competition since 2010 and were eliminated in the round of 16 in the last edition.
Former Al Ahly and Egypt Nader El-Sayed feels Hugo Broos' charges provide the biggest threat in the group stage phase.
"Balanced, and I see that the main competitor with the Pharaohs is South Africa," Nader said in an interview with Kooora.
"Despite the difference in level in terms of players, playing style, individual and collective performance, and I do not think there will be surprises."
