With the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup around the corner, Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile has revealed the excitement of adding another piece of history to his career.
Shalulile is undoubtedly one of the best strikers to grace the PSL, with his numbers earning him a place among the greats.

He has also made a name for himself on the continent, as he his goals in the CAF Champions League, 19, are the most by any South African-based striker in the history of the tournament.
"Cristiano Ronaldo," Shalulile responded to FIFA.com when asked who he modeled his game around whilst growing up.
"And he still is the one I look up to, because he has that ’never-say-die’ attitude. He’s someone that has shaped my life in terms of physicality, mentality, what to eat, and how to carry yourself," he explained.
The 31-year-old also opened up on his goalscoring exploits.
"Well, when it comes to strikers, you are never satisfied. You want to score goals. Every day, you just want to score goals. Even on all my off days, I just feel like there is something missing because I just want to put the ball in the net!
"Showcasing my talent on that level is another massive thing because you will be going into the (history) books – that there was this is player from Namibia, from Sundowns, who scored in a Club World Cup.
"They’ll be excited. They (Namibians) are waiting for that day when it’s going to kick off. They will be sat in their homes, glued to the TV screens, waiting to see their boy do well in the Club World Cup. If I can go there, it means anything is possible. I wish many more Namibians can reach this stage.
