With Neymar having officially joined an all-star cast of new arrivals in the Saudi Pro League, the Brazilian has now revealed why he decided to leave European football.
The Saudis have completed yet another sensational swoop as Al Hilal finally secured they superstar they were looking for when they signed Neymar on Tuesday evening, which followed their failed attempts to bring in Lionel Messi in June and Kylian Mbappe in July.

The Selecao talisman had been unsettled at the Parc des Princes for a while and his departure from Paris Saint-Germain comes as little surprise given reports that he had told the club he wanted to seek a new challenge after seven seasons in France.
Al Hilal had reportedly been desperate to sign a player of Neymar's ilk as they looked to rival the transfer business of Al Nassr, who have Cristiano Ronaldo, and Al Ittihad, who brought in Karim Benzema, and have now got their man.
PSG have since pocketed €90 million (R1.8 billion) from the transfer, while Neymar has signed a two-year deal with a reported annual salary of about €100 million (R2 billion).
The 31-year-old has since revealed why he has now left Europe completely.
"I have achieved a lot in Europe and enjoyed special times, but I have always wanted to be a global player and test myself with new challenges and opportunities in new places," Neymar said via statement from the Saudi Pro League, per Yahoo Sports.
"I want to write new sporting history, and the Saudi Pro League has tremendous energy and quality players at the moment.
"Al Hilal is a giant club with fantastic fans, and it is the best in Asia. This gives me a feeling that it is the right decision for me at the right time with the right club.
"I love winning and scoring goals, and I plan to continue doing that in Saudi Arabia and with Al Hilal."
PSG president Nassr Al-Khelaifi also thanked the flamboyant attacker for his service to the Ligue 1 giants club over the past few years.
"It is always difficult to say goodbye to an amazing player like Neymar, one of the best players in the world," Al-Khelaifi in a statement from the French champions.
"I will never forget the day he arrived at Paris Saint-Germain, and what he has contributed to our club and our project over the last six years.
"We had a great moment and Neymar will always be a big part of our history."
