Lorch breaks scoring duck for Rulani's Wydad

On-loan Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Thembinkosi Lorch broke his scoring duck for Wydad Casablanca on Saturday night.

The South African winger made his sixth league appearance under Rulani Mokwena as Wydad took on IR Tanger.

Lorch made the most of his opportunity by opening the scoring for the Red Castle in the 31st minute after collecting a pass in the box and calmly slotting past the goalkeeper.

That would not be the winning goal though, as Tanger manage to restore parity in the 78th minute through Haytham El Bahja.

Fellow South African forward Cassius Mailula got around 25 minutes under his belt after coming on as a substitute in the second half.

As a result, Mokwena's charges have now registered a fourth successive draw in the Morcocan top-flight.

Wydad find themselves in fourth spot, two points behind the final CAF Champions League spot, which is currently held by AS FAR Rabat.
