AmaZulu co-coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi has suggested that they could not face Mamelodi Sundowns at a better time, with new coach Miguel Cardoso still trying to find his footing.
Cardoso has only had two matches in charge since replacing Manqoba Mngqithi, a 1-0 win over Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League and another win by the same score-line against Stellenbosch in the Betway Premiership.
In both matches the Portuguese coach played two distinct teams in terms of personnel, with different systems and ahead of the league clash against Masandawana, Vilakazi believes the Tshwane giants having a new coach could work in their favour.

Usuthu seem to have turned the corner under Vilakazi and Arthur Zwane, as they got the team lying bottom of the log and three victories from their last four matches have lifted them up to 13th in the standings.
"There are changes, I've watched them in both games, where you can see that he's (Cardoso) still trying to do something of his own but is not happening yet. They've won both games 1-0, that's not the Sundowns that we know," Vilakazi told journalists at AmaZulu Open Media Day.

"So it's a sign that maybe things are not yet into the standard that he wants to see. So we're fortunate to come against them at this moment where they are still trying to do something with the new coach.
"So we'll definitely give our best in terms of making sure that at the end of the day we come victorious. We're not going to undermine Sundowns, they have quality and always work very hard in terms of getting results. But we will dig deep in making sure that we compete on the day," the former Richards Bay coach added.
The encounter is set for Tuesday afternoon at King Zwelithini Stadium.
