Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos admitted that early signs are not positive over recovery of defender Khuliso Mudau who had to be substituted off due to an injury during Bafana's goalless draw against Tunisia.
South Africa secured a spot in the last 16 of the AFCON, collecting a crucial point against Tunisia, who bowed out of the continental competition.
Bafana's celebrations were not without disappointment though as Mudau, one of Broos' most relied-on players was substituted at half-time due to an ankle injury.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Broos admitted that early indications suggest it's 'not a good sign'.
"I don't know, we have to wait. The fact that Khuliso was to go out is not a good sign," Broos said to the media after the game.
"It's his ankle. We [the medical team] will see him tomorrow and make a good analysis of his injury and then maybe we can decide if he should be ready for next week.
"Let's hope [that it's not too bad]."
In terms of replacement, Bafana does have Thapelo Morena, who, although has mostly been used as a winger in the national team, has previously played at right-back for Sundowns.
Additionally, Sekhukhune's Nyiko Mobbie remains fit while Orlando Pirates' Tapelo Xoki is on standby.

Meanwhile, the draw against Tunisia meant Bafana finished second in Group E behind Mali and has been drawn against Morocco in the last 16 round of the continental competition.
"You always have to have some goals. Our first goal was passing the group stages even though we were not in an easy group against Mali and Tunisia. Okay, we did. That means we have progressed a lot.
"We have to believe in our quality even if there are still people that don't believe it," the coach added.
South Africa's match against Morocco will be played on Tuesday. Kick-off is at 22:00.
