The result has set up a tie with fellow semi-finalists Nigeria who booked their seat with a 1-0 victory over Angola.
The Super Eagles have conceded just one goal and have not lost a single match so far in the competition. They have lifted the continental competition three times while Bafana has lifted it once.
Speaking at the post-match press conference after the win against Cape Verde, Broos explained why he believes the upcoming clash against Nigeria will be special.
"I think Nigeria is a team that became better and better every game," Broos said.
"When I saw them play yesterday (Saturday), it's again a good team with a very good striker.
"There are also a few good players. Like the one who scored the goal, very good player. So we have to analyse the a bit more.
