With Bafana Bafana on the brink of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification, Hugo Broos has issued a warning against doing 'stupid things'.
Broos' charges kept their spot at the top of Group C after six matches with a convincing 2-0 win over Benin on matchday six of the African FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Tuesday evening.

Lyle Foster and substitute Jayden Adams provided the two vital goals that brought Broos and his men to the doorstep of World Cup qualification.
That mission has been made slightly easier with Nigeria being held to a draw by Zimbabwe on the same night while Lesotho also held Rwanda to a draw.
The Belgian mentor acknowledged Bafana's advantageous position, in spite of facing a point deduction for fielding an ineligible Teboho Mokoena against Lesotho, but also warned against complacency.
"We have a very good team. We can change players without the level decreasing. That means that we are string. We have to be confident.
"We are not afraid anymore of who plays against us. The only thing we have to do is hard work, like we have done until now.
"We must not think that everything is already done. We are in a good position now, but I think with the group that we have and if we do not do stupid things, we are very close to qualification for the World Cup."
