Bantwana captain Sibulele Holweni lauds SAFA for giving them time to study in camp

Bantwana are set to take part in the World Cup which kicks off on November 13 and have been drawn into Group B with Brazil, Mexico and Japan.

Holweni wrote her final exam, IziZulu paper III on Wednesday, and gave credit to the association for bringing in personal tutors for them.

“I would really like to thank SAFA for coming up with these arrangements,” Holweni said. “The FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup came at a time when most of us were busy with our final exams. The association came up with a win-win effort to help us manage that challenge.”

“Having personal tutors during this period helped a great deal and this helped us cope with our studying material.

“All credit must go to the association because this arrangement was really a masterstroke.”

The final Bantwana squad for the World Cup will be announced today. The team is set to leave for Uruguay on Saturday.
