Banyana Banyana attacker Rhoda Mulaudzi delighted with debut goal

Mulaudzi made the perfect start for Australian side Canberra United in the W-League when she scored the first and created the second for Ellie Carpenter in a 2-0 victory over Melbourne City at McKellar Park.

“Immediately after the goal I could not believe that I scored. It was mixed emotions for me, being my first contract in Australia and scoring my first goal in my first match. It was something that I still think about each and every day when I wake up,” Mulaudzi told the media in Australia.

“As a striker, the first thing you think about when you get on the field is to score. That’s your job. Honestly it was tough, but we managed to play as a team and that’s what helped us.”

Mulaudzi and Banyana teammate Refiloe Jane will be in action again on Sunday when they take on Perth Glory.

“We have another game on Sunday and we have to forget about what happened last weekend.”
