Banyana are nominated alongside the SA Rugby Sevens team and the Super Rugby side the Lions.
Banyana have had a good year, qualifying for the Women's Africa Cup of Nations to be played in Ghana next month. To qualify for the competition, Banyana beat Lesotho 7-0 on aggregate.
They followed that up by defending their COSAFA Women's Championship title in the Eastern Cape. Banyana beat Cameroon in the final, a good showing from the team.
Desiree Ellis's ladies only conceded one goal throughout the competition and scored 12 goals in five matches.
