Banyana Banyana midfielder Rhoda Mulaudzi gets praise from teammate O'Sullivan

Mulaudzi opened the scoring just before the hour mark after she was played through by Banyana teammate Refiloe Jane at McKellar Park.

As if that was not enough, Mulaudzi then set up Ellie Carpenter who sealed the 2-0 victory when she netted in the final five minutes, as Canberra made the perfect start.

After the game, O'Sullivan reserved special praise for Mulaudzi.

“It was amazing for her to score,” O’Sullivan told Canberra's website.

“Rhoda works really hard, and she is always asking questions in training, always wants to learn and I’m very happy for her.”

Canberra will next face Perth Glory at McKellar Park on Sunday. It's another chance for South Africa's ladies to show what they are made of.
