CAF Champions League: FC Platinum confident of beating Al Ahly at Al Salam Stadium

After a poor start with defeats to Al Hilal and Etoile du Sahel, veteran forward Mkhokheli Dube feels their campaign can turnaround with a historic result.

Lizwe Sweswe's side take on the record eight-time Champions League winners at Al-Salam Stadium, with the intention of grabbing all three points.

"We are happy that we won the domestic league but now we have since shifted focus to the African Champions League," the former Amazulu forward said ahead of the game.

"We are not reading much into the losses in our first two games we are going there to win."

Sweswe echoed his players' sentiments and suggested the end of their domestic campaign will hold them in good stead for the rest of the continental competition.

"We have been under a lot of pressure and the domestic league has also been on our shoulders," Sweswe said.

"Now that the league is over, we tried to manage the pressure and have been working flat out to ensure we match the African giants."

The Zimbabwe champions take of The Red Devils tomorrow at their new home ground at 21:00 (GMT+2).
