CAF Champions League: Zamalek vs Generation Foot to be replayed in Cairo

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have reportedly ordered a replay for the first round Champions League tie between Zamalek and Generation Foot after the recent controversy.

CAF initially declared Zamalek as winners to advance to the group stages of Africa's elite club competition after Generation Foot refused to partake in the postponed second leg fixture in Alexandria.

According to CAF rulings, a fixture cannot be postponed 24 hours before kickoff but the White Knights made the decision to move the game from the Borg Al Arab Stadium from the Petrosport Stadium in Cairo.
