Kaizer Chiefs will enjoy support in Tanzania against Simba SC

Kaizer Chiefs will have the backing of Simba's fierce rivals Young Africans during Saturday's CAF Champions League quarter-final second leg tie in Dar es Salaam.

With the Tanzanians having their own covid-19 protocols which allows fans into match venue the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium will be packed to the rafters as Simba seek to overturn the 4-0 defeat they suffered in Johannesburg.

"Chiefs don't have to worry about supporters of Simba because will also have support from Yanga fans. The stadium will be full on Saturday, but Chiefs will also have some fans. Yanga don't like Simba, so they are always against Simba. Any team that plays Simba is supported by all Yanga fans that go to the stadium. The people of Tanzania are passionate about football like that here in. I played for both teams, so I have felt the support of both set of fans," Bakari 'Jembe Ulaya' Malima tells snl24.com/kickoff.

Malima is a retired defender who played for both Yanga and Simba and had a stint with Vaal Professionals in the 1996/97 season after being brought in with Shabani Nonda, who went on to play for Monaco, AS Roma, Blackburn Rovers and Galatasaray.

He believes it will be impossible for Simba to win 5-0 against a team of Chiefs' quality.

"If Simba wins it will be 2-0 or 2-1 but not 5-0. Chiefs is way too good a team to be beaten 5-0 by Simba even if they are not having a good time now. The league of South Africa is way better than Tanzania and you cannot even compare the two. I know Simba will win but not 5-0 because Kaizer Chiefs is not an amateur team like these other teams that Simba play here.

"Even if Simba use witch doctors and funny tactics there is no chance, they can win 5-0. I played against Kaizer Chiefs twice in my time in South Africa when they had Doctor Khumalo and the captain of Bafana Bafana (Neil Tovey) so I understand what kind of team they are. There is no chance Chiefs will lose 5-0 to Simba. Chiefs is on the way to the semi-finals," says Malima.
