Luc Eymael says he knew from the first day Milutin Sredojevic accepted the Zamalek job what kind of pressure he had put himself in.
Sredojevic, who controversially left Orlando Pirates earlier this season, was recently fired by the Egyptians after less than four months. He has since been replaced by Frenchman Patrice Carteron.
Eymael, who has first-hand experience of coaching in the land of the Pharaohs as he was in charge of El Gaish SC who campaign in the Egyptian Premier League, says it's tough for a coach in that part of the world.

"When I knew that Micho will go to Zamalek, I said he will know what is pressure," Eymael tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"Despite the fact that there is not a lot of fans in the stadium, because of political reasons. In CAF games the stadiums are full, the Egyptians are crazy about soccer.
"I can assure you when you play Sundowns, Al Ahly, Zamalek, Pirates... the stadium is fully packed one hour before the game or one hour, thirty minutes before the game so it's impressive.
"And these fans are putting pressure on the players, and on the board and on the staff. So if you don't deliver in Egypt and especially in the big teams, you are in big trouble as they don't hesitate to sack you.

"You know, look now Zamalek they took Patrice Carteron who is a very good coach but he was in Al Ahly when I arrived in Egypt. After two weeks, three weeks I was in Egypt he has been sacked.
"He went to Raja Casablanca, he stayed some months, he has been sacked. It's in Morocco. Then he's back in Zamalek, we will see how long he will stay.
"When you don't deliver in Egypt you are definitely out. It's the same in Morocco, it's the same in Algeria, it's the same in Tunisia, it's the same in Saudi Arabia, it's the same in Qatar.
"It is sad for Micho, because here he didn't win a trophy with Pirates during his two stints. But don't worry, Micho will bounce back."
