Sundowns are set to jet out of the country on Monday to face USM Alger in the CAF Champions League on 28 December.
The Brazilians are currently sitting on top of Group C with four points after one win and one draw against Petro de Luanda and Wydad Casablanca respectively.
Sundowns returned to Gauteng on Wednesday after being away from home since last week Thursday after they went to Durban for the Telkom Knockout final against Maritzburg United last weekend.
Pitso Mosimane's side was forced to remain in Durban for the league match against Bidvest Wits three days later as they played to a 1-1 draw at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Mosimane gave his players two days off following their trip to Durban and will only return to training on Friday to prepare for the Absa Premiership clash against Polokwane City at Loftus Stadium on Saturday (18h00).
