The White Knights were subsequently awarded a 3-0 walkover victory, leading to outrage on social media, with criticism directed towards CAF and alleged favouritism towards the five-time African champions. "In comments below your bold truth statement is such amount of nonsense that is ridiculous," he wrote on Twitter. "Zamalek has not done anything wrong towards our sport opponents and we don't accept stupid accusations about us. "We have a team that was ready to win on the field of play fair and square."
