The reigning Tanzania Premier League champions have acted swiftly to replace Aussems, who was linked with a move to the Absa Premiership this month.
Vandenbroeck, 40, arrives with a reputation as an exciting tactician despite his failed stint with the Zambia national team in his first senior management role.
Having won the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations with Cameroon as the assistant to Hugo Broos, the Belgian holds experience of the African continent but will be under severe pressure to deliver results.
His compatriot, Aussems, delivered the Dar es Salaam based outfit the 2018/19 league title but was relieved of his duties after publically criticising the club's hierarchy for allowing Kaizer Chiefs midfielder James Kotei, amongst other star players, to leave in the off-season.
The current board have a clear desire to progress the club into one of the top five clubs on the continent after reaching the quarter-final of the CAF Champions League last season.
Vandenbroeck will now be set a clear mandate to improve on Aussems' exploits over his one-and-a-half-year stint after the disappointing first-round exit in Africa's elite club competition this season.
