Mosimane's popularity throughout Africa was evident again when he arrived with the team in Casablanca for their CAF Champions League match against Wydad Casablanca.
'Jingles' received a warm reception in the country with fans flocking to take pictures with the 2016 CAF Coach of the Year.
"The reception has been good. Personally it has been nice and beautiful and also for me to be acknowledged in Morocco," said Mosimane.
"They know I am around all the time either with the team or their coaches. It's good. They also like to take pictures with me and with the players also.
"I am happy to be acknowledged in this area."
The Brazilians are yet to beat Wydad away from home and the group stage match on Saturday (21h00) at Stade Mohammed V could provide the chance for them to write history.
"We have met eight times and they always win at home. We have a monkey on our back with these ones here," he admitted.
"We don't have to be emotional about it and know it's a group stage [match]."
