Radhi Jaidi: Tunisia legend joins Cercle Brugge as assistant coach

After former Senegal striker Mbaye Leye took over as the head coach of Standard Liege, two of Africa's most decorated footballers have now landed roles in Europe.

Toure was officially unveiled at Ukrainian side Olympik Donestk on Thursday while Jaidi, who won 16 major titles with Esperance and the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations has now taken a huge step in his promising coaching career.

The 1994 CAF Champions League winner started in the dugout at former club Southampton as the U-23 manager before venturing to the USA with Harford Athletic.

And after acquiring invaluable experience, his next step towards securing a head coach role in one of Europe's top-flight leagues has taken him to Belgium.

"I am really looking forward to taking on this challenge and to be involved with Cercle," Jaidi said upon his unveiling.

"I hope my experiences help to achieve the ambitious goals. I can't wait to get started and get to know everyone in the organisation."

Brugge serves as an affiliate club of Ligue 1 side AS Monaco with Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev owning both clubs.
