Marumo Gallants FC advanced to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup by overturning a first-leg deficit in a first preliminary round tie with a 3-0 win over Equatorial Guinea's Futuro Kings FC on Friday.
The hosts needed to overturn a deficit after a 2-1 first-leg defeat and named the scorer in last Saturday's clash, Phillip Ndlondlo in the line-up after passing a late fitness test.
Gallants wasted no time in dragging themselves back into the contest as Celimpilo Ngema registered the opening strike with three minutes to the half-hour mark.
Sebastien Migne's side were quickly on the lookout for more goals and made their home advantage count in the second half.
Gallants took charge of the tie when Ngema helped himself to a brace which meant the visitors faced an uphill task of needing two unanswered goals to advance.
That never materialised though because Thabo Mnyamane assured the home side's victory and ticket to the next phase in the remaining 12 minutes with the third strike, making it 4-2 on aggregate.
The triumph is sure to strengthen Gallants' plight to a first domestic victory against Maritzburg United away on Wednesday evening.
Gallants will now do battle with Congolese giants AS Vita Club in the next round of the competition in October.
