SuperSport United registered their first win in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages with a 2-1 success over Al Ahli Benghazi on Wednesday evening.
There were wholesale changes for United, who gave Yanda Mfolozi his first start of the season after returning from injury while Shandre Cambell was the only survivor from team that started in the win over Moroka Swallows.
SuperSport made the breakthrough ten minutes in when Selaelo Rasebotja pounced to record his first of the tournament after meeting Campbell's delivery.
Before then, the host came inches close to rattling the net from a free-kick in a good area but Campbell couldn't get anything telling on it let alone the target.
The visiting outfit levelled midway through the half when Mohamed Salim got a yard of space in the box and applied a composed finish from close-range.
More drama followed, as Matsatsantsa went down to ten players on the half-hour mark when goalkeeper Washington Arubi was shown a straight red card for a hand-ball outside the area, with coach Gavin Hunt forced to withdraw Risen Albert for substitute shot-stopper Ricardo Goss.
Benghazi were also reduced to ten men as Ahmed Abdulaziz Mody saw red for a second bookable offence following a professional foul minutes after halftime.
Zimbabwean Etiosa Ighodaro, who got the winner against Swallows, nearly found target again when his header off a cross from Ronald Pfumbidzai hit the upright.
The two-goal hero from the first clash Muetasimballah Al Taeb came very close to put the Libyans ahead with a snap shot, but ended up finding the post a little later.
Ighodaro got SuperSport over the line with two minutes to go when he latched onto a cross from Pfumbidzai and headed into the bottom-corner, sealing the team's first win at the fourth attempt.
